Feature & Benefit
What is ADB?
Coverage
- The ADB rider extends the benefits of a life insurance policy to include an additional payout if the insured person dies due to a covered accident or within 90 days of that accident.
- If this unfortunate event occurs, the insured person's family will receive a lump sum cash payment based on the coverage amount of the policy and the ADB rider.
In the case of Astha Life Insurance, the ADB rider provides the following coverage:
- An additional one Sum Assured (SA) along with the Principal Sum Assured for the basic life policy if the insured employee dies due to an accident. This means a total of 2x Sum Assured is payable:
- 1x SA for the Basic Life Policy.
- Another 1x SA for the Accidental Death rider policy.
- Essentially, the ADB rider ensures that the policyholder's family receives an extra benefit if the insured person's death is accidental.
