Permanent Disability & Accidental Benefit (PDAB)
Due to accident, if within 90 days from the date of occurrence an insured suffered from disablement caused directly by an accident caused through external, violent and visible in nature the Astha Life Insurance Company Limited shall pay to the insured as per term and conditions of the contract.
What is PDAB?
PDAB is a rider benefit that you can add to your base policy at a nominal extra cost. It covers the following scenarios:
Permanent Total Disability (PTD):
If you suffer from a permanent total disability due to an accident, you will receive 100% of the rider sum assured as a lump sum payment.
Permanent Partial Disability (PPD):
If you suffer from a permanent partial disability due to an accident, you will receive a percentage of the rider sum assured based on the extent of your disability.
Feature & Benefit
If you suffer from a permanent total disability due to an accident, you will receive 100% of the rider sum assured as a lump sum payment. Total & Permanent Disability is assumed if-

If you suffer from a permanent partial disability due to an accident, you will receive 3 - 50% of the rider sum assured as a lump sum payment.
Permanent partial disability is assumed if-
